1. Who we are
Framotion is published by WL Creators (micro-entreprise, France), which is responsible for the personal data processed by the service. Contact for anything about your data: privacy@framotion.ai.
2. What we collect
- Account: your email address and, if you sign in with Google, your name and profile photo. Your public handle.
- What you create: your prompts, the screenshots you upload, your videos, their versions, edits and exports, and the scenarios you plan.
- Billing: your plan, your credits and their history. Card details and billing addresses are handled by Stripe; we never see your card number.
- Templates: the videos you choose to publish, their likes, and view counts. A view is counted once a day per visitor from a one-way hash: we store no IP address.
- Support chat, whether or not you have an account: your messages, the name and email address you give (optional), the files or screen recordings you choose to send, and your rating if you leave one. With each conversation we also keep the page you started it from, the previous page and your type of browser. Your IP address is used briefly to prevent abuse and is not kept with the conversation.
- Emails: the emails we sent you and your email choices (tips, product news).
- Technical: the cost and duration of each AI call and render, used to price actions at their real cost and keep the service running.
3. Why we use it
- To provide the service: write, play, edit, export and store your videos, and manage your account (performance of our contract with you).
- To bill your plan and packs and keep your credit history (contract, and our legal obligations for accounting).
- To answer your questions in the support chat, and to reply by email when you leave your address (our legitimate interest in helping you, or the steps you ask for before using the service).
- To keep the service secure and prevent abuse, such as daily limits (our legitimate interest).
- To email you: emails that follow something you do (a video ready, a plan started) as part of the service; a few tips in your first weeks (our legitimate interest, and you can stop them with one click in any of them or in Settings); product news only if you ask for it (your consent).
- To show the videos you publish in Templates, with your handle (your choice to publish).
We do not sell your data and we do not use it for advertising.
4. Who processes it for us
- Supabase: database, sign-in and file storage.
- Anthropic (Claude): writes and edits your videos and scenarios from your prompts and screenshots. Data sent through Anthropic’s API is not used to train their models by default.
- Amazon Web Services: renders MP4 exports and previews, and sends our emails (Amazon SES), in Paris (eu-west-3).
- Vercel: hosts the website and its servers, and measures the audience (Vercel Web Analytics: no cookie, anonymous and aggregated page views, referrers, countries and devices).
- Stripe: payments and invoices.
- Google Ads: measures whether a visit from one of our ads led to a sign-up, with cookies set by Google's tag.
- Resply: the support chat and help center on our site, with data stored in the European Union. An AI assistant answers first, from our help articles and our site; when it can't, the conversation goes to our team.
- OpenAI: writes the chat assistant's answers and searches our help content, for Resply, from the messages you send in the chat. Data sent through OpenAI's API is not used to train their models and may be kept up to 30 days to monitor abuse.
- Google: sign-in, only if you choose “Continue with Google”.
Some of these providers are based in the United States. Where data leaves the European Union, it is protected by the safeguards they offer, such as the European Commission’s standard contractual clauses or the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework.
5. How long we keep it
- Your account and what you create: as long as your account exists.
- When you delete your account from Settings, your videos, chats, exports, screenshots, published templates and credits are deleted at once.
- Support conversations: up to 3 years after your last message, then deleted. You can ask us to delete them sooner. The technical records of the chat's searches are deleted after 30 days.
- Invoices are kept by Stripe for as long as accounting law requires.
6. Your rights
Under the GDPR, you can at any time:
- access your data, and get a copy of it;
- correct it;
- delete it, which you can also do yourself by deleting your account;
- object to some processing, or ask to limit it;
- withdraw a consent you gave.
Write to privacy@framotion.ai; we answer within a month. If you think your rights are not respected, you can complain to the French data protection authority, the CNIL (cnil.fr).
8. Changes
We will update this page when the way we handle data changes, and tell you by email before any important change.
